SkyShield, protecting Ukrainian airspace

Founded by the Ukrainian NGO Price of Freedom,  the Sky Shield Initiative (SSI) aims to deploy combat air patrols to protect Ukrainian airspace from Russian cruise missiles and drones. Based on European soil and in collaboration with the Ukrainian Air Force, this coalition effort would strengthen collective European security without ground intervention, in a non-offensive and non-escalatory framework. It would give Ukraine crucial respite without direct Western involvement in the fighting, easing pressure on Ukrainian air defences and promoting NATO interoperability and EU integration.
